This is my favorite verse. and my favorite chapter too.
1Co 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
It reminds me if I will continue on in love, that Father will back me up in all I do because He is that love and he can not fail! He tells us it is the more excellent way..We can have the gifts and still miss the mark .It is his desire is for us to have the fruit of His spirit formed in us. The fig tree is a type and illtration of that. One must look for it's fruit ; For it fruit is hidden under it's many leaves. When Yahshua went to the fig tree looking for fruit he found none. and He cursed the fig tree, and it withered away. Mt 21:19 Gifts are like the many leaves on the fig tree.They can be seen from afar. But Yahshua is looking for fruit and the fruit is hidden.
Mr 13:28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: Summer is harvest time. The time when Yahshua will come looking for fruit.
When Yahshua returns there will be many leave of the fig tree /Or Many gifts operating. But he is coming back looking for fruit! May we be baring the fruit of his spirit at his return.
I Cor 12: and I Cor 13:
31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way.
1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
3 And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.
4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,
5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;
6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;
7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
1Jo 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Yahshua is perfect love! When we mature into the bride, we are walking in him with out fear. We will truly have the mind of christ. and have no fear, for his perfect love casts it out.. This is the groom and the bride.. They are one. and Face to Face! She will follow his heart beat for they beat as one! and the The Childish things will be put away.
