Aliens in the Bible
What is an Alien?
Webster's dictionary defines "alien" as 'Different in nature; foreign, adverse or hostile." What could be a more appropriate definition of rebellious supernatural angels? In America, immigrants are considered aliens because they originate from a foreign land.
Recent financial realities have caused some in Congress to make it difficult for foreigners to enter American without the ability to sustain them selves economically.
Satan's angels are not born on earth so they qualify as aliens because they 1) are different in nature, 2) foreign - not originating from earth and 3) by their deceptive plans are adverse and hostile.
However, they will not come seeking our economic prosperity. If anything, they will be capable of bringing more to the plate than anyone from earth is capable of offering them. This is another reason why their plan of utopia will be so "Tempting."
Abraham's Dinner Guest
The story of Abraham's dinner guest provides strong biblical documentation of supernatural beings capable of changing their appearance before our eyes. Before God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, he sent two angels to Abraham. These angels appeared as MEN. Men, who sat, ate, and drank.
The story leaves no doubt that these men were angels. Abraham was not the only person to see these angles and interact with them on a one on one basis. In the 19th Chapter of Genesis, we read of the angel's visit to Lot and his family, and how they instructed to Lot and his family to pack and leave.
The people of Sodom and Gomorrah also saw these angels as men because they wanted Lot to send the men to them so that they could have sexual relations with them. Therefore, to the homosexual population of Sodom, these angels appeared as regular good looking guys, no visible wings or halos.
This is clear biblical documentation that angels can and do appear in fleshly form. There is nothing in the bible that dictates that evil angels are less capable than good angels are, with the exception of what they can do to Christians. Therefore, it stands to reason that evil angels can also appear in a fleshly form.
Jacob's Wrestling Match
In Genesis 32:24, the story of Jacob and his struggle with the angel, the angel is referred to as a man. While you read the story it appears that Jacob is physically as strong as this man, until he is touched somehow on his thigh. Even then, Jacob refuses to let the man go until he receives a blessing. Just think about it for a minute. Here is an angel whose arm Jacob could put his hands around and grab hold. Again, this is a clear biblical reference of a supernatural being in a body that appears to have a fleshly form.
The Test of Job
Angels are not always good. The Book of Job tells us that Satan and his Angels went before God's throne after roaming through the earth. Satan was sure that he could cause Job to denounce God if only God would remove the "hedge" of blessings and prosperity from around Job. It is important to note that Satan's crew is described as sons of God and not demons.
The word 'Demon' does not appear in the Bible. Just as there is good and bad among humans, there is good and bad among angels. Just because a crowd in South America witnesses what appears to be an angelic figure in the skies over a steeple church does not necessarily mean that the angelic figure is a good angel! For some reason, the majority of people seem to have a mental block when we associate the word "angel" with "evil." This alone will make it difficult for most people to recognize Satan.
The Mighty Morphin Angels - Changing Form and Appearance
The Apostle Paul goes to great lengths in his New Testament writings to give the nature and motive of Satan's behavior at his formal introduction to earth. In Corinthians, Paul uses the word "transformed", translated from the Greek word "metamorphfoo" which means disguised.
Anyone familiar with children's hit TV show knows that "Morhpin" means to change into a disguise that hides your true identity. These television Morphins are careful to guard their identities in each episode. Therefore, in addition, Satan's nature and identity are hidden by his appearance.
He comes in peace, not as a God but the next best thing to God. A supernatural being from another world with the perfect plan to save us from ourselves. How can God be anything but angry at such a charade when he has already offered the blood of his only begotten Son as the only method of salvation!
It seems that many our "Christian soldiers" are too busy planning on being raptured so that they will not have to face the music. Yes, it would be nice to disappear and not have to deal with some of the crisis that develops toward the end of the age.
However, the Christian's goal is supposed to be eternity, not coveting our fleshly existence. Our presence is needed as a help to others in the time of temptation. It will not be a time to duck out as cowards!
